As you need good SEO content to succeed on the Web, you might decide to get your website copy written for you. It could be that you're not a very good writer, or you just don't like to write very much, or like a lot of us, you have a million things to do.
Whatever your reason, paying a professional to handle your SEO content writing duties can be a very good thing for your business, BUT it could also be a bad thing.
Don't be tempted by cheap offers - buying SEO content is important, and it's not something you can cut corners with. On the World Wide Web, your website content is the way that people will find out more about you and your service or product. Whatever your decision, you need it to be good.
It’s easy, and all too common for businesses to concentrate all their efforts and money on stunning visual images, to the detriment of their textual content; purely, and naively because to the laymen a website is a visual thing and they are often unaware of the technicalities that go on behind the scenes to make a website a great success.
And it has to standout.
Website usability studies give us an insight into the way that a visitor actually reads a web page. They tend to skim rather than read every word, jump from page to page, enter the text at different points and definitely don’t like deep scrolling. Principally, this is because reading a computer screen is more difficult than reading a page; it is uncomfortable and strains the eyes. Also, our Internet generation expect everything to be instant. If they don’t see what they want, they’ll move on, instantly, it’s as simple as that.
Your content writer must therefore write in a clear and concise manner; free from jargon and technical terms. Text must be broken up into short paragraphs with killer headlines. Headlines are so important; they must leap off the page and steal the visitor’s attention. They need to entice the user.
Your content writer needs to convey a message to the search engines, they are essentially writing for both man and machine. The difficult bit is creating a comfortable balance between content that is written for the visitor, and the content written for the search engines. Your visitor should be the first priority. But, unless you can attract the search engine robot too, you are unlikely to receive any traffic via this source; and without a ranking your website is unlikely to be found by the human user. A bit of a ‘Catch 22’ situation. This means keyword insertion in the headlines and body text in the most favourable position, and frequency. It is here where the over-stuffing of keywords, which then makes the content difficult to read, and also has the added possibility of the site being penalised by the search engines, can compromise the quality of your content.
Google has stated that “quality content” is a main factor in search engine positioning. Quality content is user friendly, relevant and unique.
Following the recent Panda updates, Google has taken a more serious attitude towards quality content than before. Even so, you aren't going to be taken seriously if you can't string an articulate sentence together. People will always look for ways to avoid spending money. Mix up "to" and "too", and there’s the justification they need NOT to buy from you.
Therefore, hiring the wrong content writer could mean that you're left with content that doesn't get results. Or even worse, makes you and your business look unprofessional.
So how do you decide if the content writing service you choose will write text that produces results for your site?
Always check the following: -
What Kind Of Qualifications Do They Have?
To some, writing can be a natural talent, just like cooking, singing, or painting a portrait is for others. Without the natural-born ability to write, the chances are it will never happen. You might enrol in classes in an effort to improve, but the type of SEO content that jumps off the page and makes the reader take action, only really comes from people who are born with the ability to put pen to paper and write.
Having said that, simply having an ability to write isn't enough. A good writer will have the résumé to back it up. Part of the price that you’ll pay, will be for the writer's expertise. As with most things in life, you get what you pay for.
What Will They Need From You?
Expect to have to provide some basic information like your target keywords. They will almost certainly want to look at your website, to assess the kind of style that you already have in place, so that relative SEO content can be written.
How Long Will It Take?
In the world of Internet marketing, time is money. The longer you have to wait, potentially could mean that you are losing out on income. A good content writing service will appreciate this, and complete and speedily as possible without affecting quality, as creating quality SEO content takes time.
Expect to be given an estimate up front, outlining when you can expect to receive a finished product.

Hi, my name is Karen and I'm a mum of 3 grown up children, all married and 'flown the nest', and the grandmother of 4 gorgeous little ones. I've been married for 34yrs to Jeff who's from North Cyprus and we've lived in Milton Keynes for the majority of that time. I've watched the city grow, and still love everything that it has to offer, despite being the butt of many jokes. We have the advantages of a new and modern city, with the countryside and its benefits literally on our doorstep. Great for going fruit picking at the farms but not so good when the farmers are muck-spreading in the fields and it gets a bit whiffy!!!
I've been fortunate to be able to have been a stay at home mum, and finally went back to work when my youngest finished college and no longer needed mum's taxi service. I work 4hrs in the evening at MIB, who pay out compensation claims for the victims of uninsured and untraced drivers. During the day I have my own website design business which I run part-time. So as you can see, that doesn't leave much free time.
